Located in the beautiful city of lakes, People’s University is a private university, established in the year 2011. It is recognized by UGC, AIU, NAAC, MCI, DCI, INC, PCI, and MP state paramedical council. It has a campus of 70-acre and provides as many as 76 courses across 7 different streams.
The University’s goal is to provide good opportunities to the faculty for their skill and professional development so that every individual can experience growth. There is a conducive environment for the students to learn and nurture their interests in the various disciplines of research and innovation. A lot of focus on entrepreneurship and related opportunities is given on campus.
INFRASTRUCTURE/FACILITIES
People’s University is central India’s largest single-campus university with a total campus area of 70 acres.
- It has a library consisting of a wide collection of journals, e-books, databases, CDs, books, training manuals, e-journals, annual reports of top companies, conference proceedings, etc. It consists of a range of books in all fields of study including medical, engineering, dental, law, life sciences, paramedical, and media studies. The library also has computers connected to the internet and Wi-Fi facilities. A Digital library is also made available to the students for their convenience.
- The three basketball courts, one sports stadium, three playgrounds for sports like cricket and football, seven badminton courts, four volleyball courts, and thirteen table tennis tables are there for the students interested in sports and recreational activities.
- People’s University has a total of 31 research labs and 95 technical labs pertaining to medical science, dental science, computer labs, engineering labs, nursing labs, oral pathology labs, hotel management labs, paramedical labs, etc.
- There are both separate and common hostels for boys and girls. The boys’ hostel room capacity is 836 and the girls’ hostel room capacity is 1139. Rooms are clean, airy, spacious, and well maintained and they also provide 4 meals a day.
- Transport facilities are provided to the students residing far from the campus.
- The medical hospital, super-specialty care hospital, and the dental hospital provide high-quality services with the help of full-time faculty in all disciplines supported by the efficient management available and there is a total of 904 beds available for the students.
- They also have facilities like ATM, postal services, gym, cafeteria, pharmacy, beauty salon, shopping complex, daycare center, convenience store, and printing press.
COURSES AND SPECIALIZATIONS
MBA
Specialization: hospital administration, business administration, logistics, and supply chain management.
- Candidates must pass class 12th with a minimum 35% aggregate.
- Candidates must have a graduate degree with a minimum 50% aggregate.
- Eligibility: Performance in MAT, XAT, CAT, CMAT, and MPMET.
B.Sc.
Specialization: biotechnology, nursing, hospitality, and hotel administration.
- Candidates must pass class 12th with a minimum 45% aggregate.
- Eligibility: Marks scored in NCHMCT JEE
- The duration of the course can be 3-4 years.
UG Diploma
Specialization: medical laboratory technology, dental hygienist, dental mechanics, dialysis technician, electrical engineering, hotel management and catering technology, civil engineering, mechanical engineering, and computer science engineering.
- Candidates must pass class 12th with a minimum 40-50% aggregate.
- The duration of the course can be 1-3 years.
B.E./ B.Tech
Specialization: computer science, civil engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, information technology, electronics and communication engineering, computer science and engineering.
- Candidates must pass class 12th with a minimum 45% aggregate.
- Eligibility: Marks scored in JEE Main.
- The duration of the course can be 3-4 years.
